We are intensifying our cooperation with partners, — Kira Rudik on the confiscation of russian frozen assets

Work on the confiscation of russian assets is currently underway in direct coordination with the countries where these assets are located. At the same time, their legal framework and approaches are taken into account. It is necessary to act at the national level while a decision at the European Union level is still pending. This was reported by Ukrainian MP and «Golos» party leader Kira Rudik. «We fully understand that decisions on confiscation at the EU level may take time, which is why we must focus on countries that currently hold frozen assets and where public pressure can make a difference. We are currently working intensively with partners at the national level — in particular, with Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and the United States», — the politician explains.  This work is being carried out at all levels, as each country has its own legal framework and approach to handling immobilized russian assets. «The situation in France, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States varies, both in terms of legislation and political will. This means we must intensify our efforts at all levels: governmental, diplomatic, and inter-parliamentary», — emphasized the MP.
