Kira Rudik joined the celebration marking the 5-year anniversary of the Goncharenko Centre educational initiative, a project that has provided millions of young Ukrainians with free education, practical skills, and opportunities for personal growth. Speaking at the event, Rudik emphasized the importance of accessible learning in a country living through war, noting that education remains one of Ukraine’s strongest tools for resilience, recovery, and long-term development. She praised the network of centers for continuing to operate and expand even under the most difficult circumstances.  The anniversary event brought together key Ukrainian leaders and supporters of the initiative, including Oleksii Goncharenko, founder and chairman of the project; Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko; and Iryna Herashchenko, co-chair of the European Solidarity parliamentary faction. Together, they highlighted how the Goncharenko Centre has become a nationwide platform for free courses, language training, career support, and community engagement, reaching people of all ages across Ukraine and helping them adapt to rapidly changing realities.  Rudik underscored that initiatives like the Goncharenko Centre demonstrate the power of civil society and local leadership working together to support people directly. She noted that investing in education and skills today is essential for Ukraine’s recovery tomorrow, ensuring that young people, veterans, and displaced families have the tools they need to rebuild their lives and strengthen the country. The five-year milestone, she said, is not only a moment to celebrate achievements but also a reminder of the critical role education plays in Ukraine’s future.
