Ukraine should become a part of the new global security system, — Kira Rudik on Liberal Response to Global Security Threats
The efforts of all democratic countries should be united for a quick and effective response to security threats to the civilized world, and Ukraine should be a part of the global security system after our victory. This was stated by the leader of the Golos party, MP, ALDE vice-president Kira Rudik during the round table Liberal Response to Global Security Threats in Washington.
«Our goals are to win the war, ensuring that Ukraine becomes a part of the new global security system, and provide a unified and rapid response to security threats in other parts of the civilized world. For this, we need to unite the efforts of all democratic countries. We must continue the path of reforms and follow the direction of European integration, despite the challenges of the war. And we agreed on clear steps that need to be taken», — Kira Rudik emphasized.
Melinda Haring, Deputy Director of the Eurasian Center of the Atlantic Council, Daniel Fried, US Ambassador to Poland, and John Herbst, former US Ambassador to Ukraine, now Director of the Eurasian Center of the Atlantic Council, also took part in the discussions during the round table Liberal Response to Global Security Threats.
«If we don't have enough weapons, the atrocities and the war in Ukraine will continue. To achieve our goal of victory, we still need funding and the fastest possible application of all sanctions against the aggressor state. In Washington, I am convincing our partners to make the necessary decisions so that we can use Russian assets for Ukraine's needs as soon as possible,» the leader of Golos emphasized.
