The Western countries will provide humanitarian aid, but it is important not to slow down, — Kira Rudik

Ukraine is not the only country concerned about winter heating season and the beginning of school year. Our Western partners are concerned about that, too. They will also allocate funds for this. This was said by the leader of the «Golos» party, MP, vice-president of ALDE Kira Rudik in Brussels during the meeting with Janez Lenarčič, European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management.

«The EU is now extremely concerned about how the winter will pass, how the school year will start in September and how we will get our fields sown and our crops harvested. After all, many Ukrainians have lost their homes, property and means to sustain their lives because of the rashist invasion», — said Kira Rudik.

Now the EU, together with Turkey, Norway and Northern Macedonia have allocated €348 million for in-kind aid. This is the largest EU programme of civil protection mechanisms. It is important that the motivation to help Ukraine will not decrease, said Kira Rudik.

«European Commission coordinates the efforts, but it is the EU member states that provide assistance. Therefore it is necessary not only to thank them, but to support their activities. So far, the willingness to help Ukraine has not decreased, but it is important to maintain the motivation to help us in the future as well», — emphasizes the «Golos» party leader.
