Taira is one of the symbols of this war — Kira Rudik presented the Magnitsky Human Rights Awards to Yuliia Paievska
Ukrainian military servicewoman and paramedic Yuliia «Taira» Paievska became a laureate of the Magnitsky Human Rights Awards. Her award is called Courage Under Fire for extraordinary courage and bravery, and it was awarded by the MP of Ukraine, leader of the Golos party, and ALDE vice-president Kira Rudik in London's Westminster Hall.
«Taira is one of the symbols of this war. And this is not only about a full-scale invasion. Since March 2014, she has been engaged in tactical medicine: she rescues, manages, teaches and trains. This was in Svitlodarsk, Shyrokyne and, of course, Mariupol. She was also in captivity since March 2022, where even the jailers were afraid of the Ukrainian servicewoman. Taira's story is about perseverance and struggle, worthy of books and movies», — stressed the leader of Golos.

The Magnitsky Prize is an award for journalists, politicians, and public figures for the struggle for human rights. At one time, its laureates were, without exaggeration, such legends as Senator John McCain, Jamal Khashoggi, and Oleg Sentsov.
This award is in honor of Serhii Magnitsky, a lawyer who exposed the machinations and corruption schemes of the russian government. In order to bring the killers to justice and punish them for what they did, Bill Browder did a tremendous job and got results. The Magnitsky Act is currently in effect in 34 countries of the world and concerns crimes against democracy, and in the future — the war against Ukraine.
