NATO can no longer go on without Ukraine, and the decision on us joining the Alliance will surely be positive, — Kira Rudik about the summit in Vilnius

The NATO summit in Vilnius did not disappoint, the partners confirmed their support for Ukrainians’ fight against russian aggression and for further reconstruction. There is still a lot of work and effort ahead, but Ukraine will definitely be in the Alliance. An MP of Ukraine, leader of the Golos party, ALDE vice-president Kira Rudik believes so.

«Are we disappointed with the NATO summit in Vilnius? No. We have received support, the supply of weapons, the cancellation of the MAP, and confirmation of the commitment of the G7 to continue helping our security and defense. Could there be more? Certainly. There could be specifics regarding joining and clearer conditions for Ukraine's accession to the Alliance. It is clear that our allies need time to learn determination, so diplomatic efforts must be redoubled», — emphasized the MP.

According to Kira Rudik, the Alliance understands the value Ukraine brings to it. And some indecision of partners can be overcome, as the Ukrainians have already proven more than once.

«Since February 24, 2022, we have learned how to turn the hesitant «no» of our partners into a firm «yes». We have to work on our obligations and we have to increase our own weapons production capacity. And the main point is, NATO can no longer go on without Ukraine, and the decision on us joining the Alliance will surely be positive. So let's keep working, — stressed the leader of Golos.
