Lithuanian women will collect funds to support Ukrainian refugees, — Kira Rudik

What does it mean to be a female politician during the war and where to get strength. The leader of the Golos party, Ukrainian MP, vice-president of ALDE Kira Rudik was asked about this during a meeting with female leaders from the liberal women's leadership program in Vilnius.

Currently, Ukrainian women are going through the most difficult times because they are defending their country against the attack of the aggressor.

«There is no such university in the world that would teach us how to be at war. How to be parents at war, teachers at war, how to be politicians at war. We have to think and learn about all this now. Today in Ukraine all our political parties act more like humanitarian than political organizations. We all care and do our best to preserve as much Ukrainian land as possible, strengthen our army, get the necessary humanitarian aid and weapons», — Kira Rudik shared during a meeting with women leaders.

They discussed various projects, internships at Stanford, gender quotas and how to encourage more female leaders. In addition, during the summer program, Lithuanian women will collect money for the needs of Ukrainians who were forced to flee the war.

«We stand on the shoulders of the women who came before us. And that's why sisterhood is about supporting each other and achieving results. Let's keep this connection going. I am grateful to the Lithuanian women that during the Women in Politics summer program they will collect funds for refugees and their families», — concluded the leader of the Golos party.
