Liberals of the South and the North should unite and develop new models of political partnership and economic cooperation, — Kira Rudik at the RenewPAC conference
The challenges faced by the whole world due to full-scale russian aggression against Ukraine must be overcome together. For this, it is necessary to develop effective models of cooperation in the political and economic spheres. This was emphasized by the leader of the Golos party, ALDE vice-president Kira Rudik, speaking at the annual conference of African and European liberals RenewPAC.
«A full-scale russia’s war in Ukraine is a global problem for the whole world. The energy crisis and the rising cost of living in Europe, the threat of famine on the African continent. So, we need to overcome these challenges together. Liberals of the South and the North should unite and develop new models of political partnership and economic cooperation», — stressed the MP.

The RenewPAC conference is organized by the sister party Renew Europe. The event brings together liberal politicians from both continents to find ways to solve current problems and jointly overcome challenges: war, the threat of hunger, and climate change. On the sidelines of the RenewPAC General Assembly, Kira Rudik also took part in the Food Security panel.
«If before the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion, the number of people on the planet who were at risk of malnutrition was 190 million, now this figure may increase by another 70 million. And it is very important that the world understands who is to blame for the famine — it is russia and its war against a sovereign state. It is important to convey to the Global South that russia is responsible for the threat of world hunger», — emphasized the leader of Golos.
