Ireland's support for Ukraine is unprecedented for this country — Kira Rudik about her visit to Dublin

Ireland demonstrates remarkable political and social unity in support of Ukraine. From government officials to ordinary residents of this country, we see an incredible mobilization of efforts to help Ukrainians. This was confirmed by the leader of the Golos party, vice-president of ALDE, MP Kira Rudik during her visit to Dublin where she met with the Irish Prime Minister and the Minister of European Affairs.

«Ireland's support for Ukraine is unprecedented for this country. For the first time, official Dublin moved away from the position of military and political neutrality and openly sided with the Ukrainians. This support has considerable political and social unity. Thomas Byrne, the Irish minister for European affairs, talked about such an association, as well as assistance to Ukraine.

In addition, our joint press conference with Micheál Martin, the Prime Minister of Ireland, caused quite a stir among the local media. They talked about what is currently happening in Ukraine and the world, about helping our country and about the support we need», — stressed the leader of Golos.

Besides, Kira Rudik thanked ordinary Irish people their support for Ukrainian refugees is phenomenal.

«Everyone joined in supporting the Ukrainians: from volunteers to social workers and teachers. Ireland became one of the first countries where Ukrainians left for at the beginning of the full-scale war. This is another confirmation that the civilized world is with Ukraine!», — emphasized the MP.
