Having started the war against Ukraine, russia actually planted a time bomb in the center of Europe, — Kira Rudik

The longer russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine lasts, the more human lives it will take, the greater damage it will cause, and the deeper the global crises will become. An MP of Ukraine, leader of the Golos party, ALDE vice-president Kira Rudik wrote about this in her opinion for Daily Express.

«russia is doing everything to leave behind scorched earth and total crisis, recovery from which will take decades. This is a time bomb that kremlin planted, not only under Ukraine. And it has already started its countdown», — states the MP. 

According to Kira Rudik, the only solution here is Ukraine's victory and further security guarantees that NATO membership could provide.

«To win, we need more weapons, shells, and new modern equipment. Only progress and technology will allow us to defeat the enemy many times more numerous than us. The second condition is Ukraine's membership in NATO. We understand that while active hostilities continue and while we are liberating our territories from the enemy, this is impossible. However, we call for specific guarantees that Ukraine will become a member of the Alliance at the first opportunity. Because if the door of NATO has been open for us for so long and we are now proving with blood that we deserve to be there, then the time has come to join», — emphasizes the leader of Golos.
