Draft law on medical cannabis is crucial in providing relief to numerous Ukrainians who are suffering from pain, — Kira Rudik
The draft law on medical cannabis has been passed in the first reading by the Verkhovna Rada. It holds immense significance for Ukrainians who are suffering and in need of pain relief. This is the statement made by Kira Rudik, an MP of Ukraine, the leader of the Golos party, and the vice-president of ALDE, regarding this vote.
«This initiative is of utmost importance and necessity as it will bring relief to numerous Ukrainians who are experiencing pain, including those affected by the war. Golos party has consistently emphasized the significance of implementing such a draft law, and I am thrilled that it has finally come to fruition. All 19 of our votes were in favor», — commented the MP.
According to Kira Rudik, while the draft law is still pending finalization, the process of legalizing medical cannabis has already progressed significantly from a stagnant state.
«Certainly, the draft law must be finalized before the second reading, but it is worth noting that the stigma surrounding medical cannabis is already moving closer towards elimination. And we hold the hope that medicines containing medical cannabis will soon become accessible to those in need within Ukraine», — stressed the leader of Golos.
