Press briefing in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

Since the beginning of the term (2019), I have been working as the First deputy chairwoman of the Parliament Committee on digital transformation. Our goal is to speed up the country's digital transformation. After all, Ukraine is not only the granary of Europe but also a progressive digital country.

Achievements of our Committee:
  • switching to “Paperless” mode in governance;
  • introduction of the world's first digital passports;
  • "state in a smartphone" project implying digitization of public services and harmonization of legislation with the EU space;
  • public electronic registers introduced.

Since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion, the Verkhovna Rada has not stopped its work. Now our main tasks are to work as a service for our army, ensure Ukraine’s defense capability, and speed up the process of European integration and membership in NATO. In 2022, the Verkhovna Rada fulfilled all the legislative requirements of the European Commission regarding the steps for obtaining a EU membership candidate status.
